Interclub regattas????? We are new to the class and I am having trouble finding information on interclub regattas in WA. Can anyone help please? Helen 30-May-2010    Edit    Delete

Hi Helen In regards to interclub regatta's/events the WA Association do the following: Metro Series (Held on varying dates at metro clubs EFYC/NYC/SoPYC) Port Bouvard Weekend (By Invitation, this is mostly an informal thing) Mini Regatta (SoPYC initiated this, this year. Not sure if its ongoing) State Championships (Held at GBYC at Easter this season) Apart from that there isnt much else. There used to be a Southwest Championships some years ago held in Bunbury and some used to venture to Walpole also for a regatta each year in March...that was a cracker! We could certainly do with another interclub regatta if the numbers were there. Your best source for info is Sandy Merrutia or Robb Webb through the WA contacts section of the website. Hi Helen No Probs....would have loved to come up for the Batavia Regatta but my wife & I had just had a baby so maybe next year.I think we met at Port Bouvard...your boys were sailing Peli's & now own "Dont Tell Ya Mother"? Hi Helen As with the Pelican class the 125 class also has an Association Rob Webb (Sec) and myself (vice-President) can be contacted anytime through the contacts emails page or my number is (0407077313. We encourage new sailors to become members, with this a newsletter is emailed out giving details on events coming up. To enter into the Metropolitan Championships the sailors must be a member of the association and there is also metro membership as well. Looking forward to hearing from you.
