spreader poke
g'day, just wondering how far your spreaders poke your stays out. (measured between the spreader and a taunt piece of rope at the spreader)

Re: spreader poke
as a general rule of thumb, the spreader should push the stay out by about 20mm, and forward by about 20mm. In order to measure this you run a string line from the hounds to the chainplate. these mesurements are a starting point. once you have your mast set up, you then experiment and find out what works best for your boat.

Hope this helps
