Replying to:Hull measurement, patterns 'reasonable fit'
There was some discussion at the recent SA Nationals regarding the interpretation of the words 'reasonable fit' in the rules in reference to the patterns, particularly the bottom panel pattern. I would like to highlight the chine-to-chine measurements in the rules which are: at main bulkhead: 1155mm-1175mm, at 1500 from transom: 1220mm-1250mm and at Transom: 965mm-980mm. I am not sure where the pattern dimension lies within these ranges but clearly there is some tolerance for variation from the pattern.
