Replying to:New to the 125 and sailing in general (Canberra)
I've just been given a 125 class by my uncle who purchased it for the trailer. I have commandeered my mate's tinnie trailer and now have a sweet little sailer sitting in my driveway. I have sailed a little on the lake in other boats and took the yacht club's sailing course a while back. The boat is in really rather good condition, has all her sails and rigging and really only needs a good rub down and proper paint schedule applied (Currently has what I can only guess is house paint on her) I aim to use her mainly as a little cruiser and as such am contemplating re-enforcing the ply hull with fibreglass and applying a polyurethane paint. Some of the tackle is a bit worse for wear and will need replacement and I think I've somehow managed to end up with someone else's rudder as the pin alignment is all wrong. All said though, she cost me nothing and I'm really quite chuffed.
