Sanding 2-pak
Hi all

I have a 125 which has some blisters/bubbles on 2-pak on hull. Needs to be sanded back and repainted(in places). I've heard that sanding 2-pak is quite toxic and am reluctant to do it at home(kids, dog etc).
Does anyone have any info on sanding 2-pak or if there is anyone round brisbane who can do cheap repairs?

Also I need to get a new rigging eye for the top of the mast. anywhere keep spare?

Thanks
jez

Re: Sanding 2-pak
Jez,
The best place to get info on the paint is a paint manufacturer. The most common would be international, they will have all the information you are after. Speaking from experience, it shouldn't be too much of a problem if you keep the dust under control. Sweep and vacuum up after you have finished and keep the kids away. But read the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) from a manufacturer before you start. Dust masks are also a really good idea.

I use Northane Norglass paint which I buy from Bias Boating Warehouse; it is cheaper than the international paint and just as good.

If you would like to discuss come down to the Brisbane Sailing Squadron on a Saturday at about 12 or so. Myself, Doug Brewer, John Anderson or Jeremy Manders will be able to answer any questions you might have.
