Return to the Forum List Perth Nationals | A quick question for the Perth sailors, has a decision been made on which club will host the 2010/11 nationals?
Fingers crossed, I will be there!

| Re: Perth Nationals | All,
As outgoing 2008 - 2009 National President I can confirm that the WA Division have accepted the NEC nomination for hosting the 2010-2011 National Titles.
WA advise these are to be held at Esperance WA. Hosted by the Esperance Bay Yacht Club.
Dates are tentatively Tuesday 28th Dec to 5th Jan 2011
Regards, Bob S.

| Re: Perth Nationals | Wow I've always wanted to go there. Esperance is the home of the biggest shipwreck in Australian waters, the Sanko Harvest. This wreck just happens to be the home of some of the biggest sharks in Australia waters too. Looks like I'll have to pack the dive gear for this one. Now I've just got to keep my fingers crossed that uncle Skippy will let me have the time off work!

| | Re: Perth Nationals | The Esperance Bay Yacht Club is situated on the beautiful Bay of Isles, state and national titles for a lot of classes have been held there. The sailing waters are in a Bay but the winds can get very strong, as far as sharks are concerned (juniors from years 8 upwards that sail at the club dont mine them).
The seals keep them well feed.
Esperance Yacht club will host a fantastic Nationals in 10/11 and the WA sailors are looking forward to catching up with old friendships from East.
OH if you capsize try not to look like a seal.
Sandy
