Mylar sails I skippered Imperial with the demonstration Mylar mainsail for the 2011/12 Nationals. I thought there were some pretty good points about it.It certainly improved my view through the sail, very useful in crowded conditions and when coming onto the congested beach. Foredeck hand would call an obstacle and I could see wha!t she was meaning straight away and take required action much more quickly. The loose foot took some getting used to but saved our bacon when we had a nasty spinnaker moment! Good 21st Century sailing Linda Morris 4-Jan-2012    Edit    Delete

Re: Mylar sails Hi "old spice" There was a motion put up at the last NEC re Mylar sails which was defeated. For all intents and purposes it's at a full stop now. Contact your local association for more information on where this now sits and their position. Andrew 25-Mar-2012    Edit    Delete
