just after some dates for the nationals this year and any other info... ie NOR, racing times, lay days and more importantly the socila/drinking/partying side....
can't wait... prepare for the invasion guys

I didn't realise there was a discussion board on this site. Good idea though! I'm chairing the Organising Committee at the South of Perth Yacht Club for the Nationals coming up. We're in the process of getting a pack together to send across to you all with a provisional NOR with dates and times of races, list of accommodation around the place, and the all important social calendar! We'll also include some posters you can put up around your clubs to advertise the event.
If you've got any questions you need immediate answers for though, post them here and I'll try and get an answer for them from the wisdom of the SoPYC committee and that of the WA Association!

NSW will be coming with approximately 6 boats. We intend to ship the boats via container and need to know if SoPYC can accommodate containers near to, or at the club.
There are a few new boats currently being constructed and we are looking forward to the Nationals

| Re: 2005/06 WA National Titles Info Request | For all those looking for more information regarding the upcoming nationals to be held at South of Perth a preliminary notice of race will be released in the next couple of days. It will be sent to your state associations for distibution to their members and also emailed to the webmaster for posting on this website.
A colour poster for displaying around your clubs will also be in the pack sent out to promote the event as well as another accomodation list for all those who havent yet booked their accomodation.
Look forward to seeing you all on the water with the fremantle doctor providing you with some good rides.

At this stage an accomodation list, including Real Estate agents, for those suburbs close to the Sailing Club, would certainly assist us with our plans. Local car rental agencies would also be appreciated.

| Re: 2005/06 WA National Titles Info Request | Nick and anyone wanting to get to Nationals. It is always a good idea to contact your state association as they may be organising transport to WA. Vics are looking at a number of options at the moment, as we do have a small number who are in the same position. I will call you as soon I have some information.
